Jasper

Jasper is a middle aged Belgian gelding, stands 16.1 hands and is rehabbing for weight and hoof issues. He was bailed from the Camelot Auction #10 pen. Jasper arrived missing half his front left hoof wall. He was diagnosed by our vet as untreated founder and separation of the hoof wall. You could see a separation line a half inch below the hair line where the other line was ready to break off. He had a hole in the tip of his hoof to the point you could see his coffin bone. Xrays were done to determine the condition of his coffin bone and treatment began. Thanks to the collaberative efforts of our vet and farrier, Jasper is about 75-80% healed. He has grown 2 inches of new healthy hoof and maintained regular trims has allowed the separating remaining hoof wall to start healing back together. Jasper is looking for a new home that is willing to allow him the remaining time to grow his new hoof (late spring/early summer). Jasper is available for $100

There is also a 2008 USDA/Ohio Dept of Agriculture citation against them for Non-burial of Livestock after they left a horse lying in a ditch for days unnoticed by anyone that resides at the farm -- only the children who ride the bus past the farm daily to school. There is now a report on file with the Guernsey County Sheriffs Department regarding this same individual in Summer 2010 for "Theft by Intimidation" and "Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer" for illegal removal of horses currently under the monitoring of local Humane and Law Enforcement.
