Curly

Curly

Belgian gelding, 16.2 hands, super curly mane and tail.  Really nice quiet guy.Â
Loads fantastic, trailers quiet, easy on fencing, responsive.

Curly went thru the Camelot Auction in New Jersey on Wednesday, November 25th and sold to the meat buyer.  He stood in a pen destined for the slaughter truck.  One of Frog Ponds fantastic supporters fronted the funds so Curly and his 2 Belgian buddies could be free of that fate.  They hopped a trailer on Friday, November 27 and arrived here in Ohio to freedom, food and a peaceful pasture.  Below you will see pictures taken from the morning after their midnight arrival.

UPDATE:
January 20, 2010

Curly was evaluated for riding abilities.  He stood great in cross ties for grooming.  Was evaled bareback.  Took bridle great, stood quietly while rider mounted, very lazy.  Certainly not a run off horse.  Takes some umph to get moving but just moseys along once he gets to moving.  Steers well and a great whoa.  Ridden in simple loose ring snaffle bit.  Would be great family/hubby horse.  Very laid back, pretty darn near unflappable.  Teddy bear eyes and a heart to match!

Curly is now available for adoption

Adoption fee: $600
