Sometimes families are forced to part with their pets. We offer the donate a draft program where we will assist you in finding your family member a new home. It is very important you complete the attached forms after speaking via phone or email with a FPF representative. We cant guarentee a space availability for your horse immediately and you may have to keep them a while. If you are also trying to place the horse yourself, please dont complete a form with us as we invest a lot of time and resources into finding your horse a new home and if you give them away without a contract after we work hard to find a qualified home, you have taken away time we could have spent helping another horse. Please consider this option fully before committing as you will be financially and legally locked in to the contract attached.

| Okay, so maybe you have been following our site for a while now waiting on that perfect draft to come available… Or maybe you just happened upon us by doing a web search or saw an ad on one of our horses and found your way here. Now you see a draft that has caught your fancy and you would like to make him/her part of your family. But your wondering what you need to do next. The first thing you will do is contact us at INFO@FROGPONDFARMDRAFTS.COM and request an application. That application needs to be completed and the pictures attached. You can email it back for quicker processing but will will need the hard copy with an original signature returned by snail mail. We no longer have a fax machine available. Without original signatures, we will not place a horse in your care. Once you are proceseed and if approved, you will be forwarded a contract. This will also need to be IN HAND WITH US before your horse leaves our facility. Please remember that our welfare forms are a requirement and we will remove if we continue having a problem getting these from you. We are also allowed uninformed checks on our horses during the period you have them and they are under our contract. Our intention is not to take back any draft…our goal is to make sure they are cared for properly and the safety of them. If you have any questions about the paperwork, please feel free to email us. |

The operator of the Drafty Barn Rescue organization has tagged the phrase "Frog Pond" on her website, used a portion of our trademarked slogan for her organizational name, and has placed frog pictures all over her pages. Additionally, she seems to be overly concerned about the length, content and requirements of our adoption application and contracts. This is a small part of her efforts at causing issues for our organization. One very good reason this "rescue" should be watched is shown in living color from Channel 3-Cleveland News Footage. There is also a 2008 USDA/Ohio Dept of Agriculture citation against them for Non-burial of Livestock after they left a horse lying in a ditch for days unnoticed by anyone that resides at the farm -- only the children who ride the bus past the farm daily to school.
