Titan
Titan was rescued from a Pennsylvania broker lot near New Holland. He was one of 5 we pulled that week. Titan came in and within days broke with Strangles. After a few weeks of recouping, Titan and I had formed a bond, so a decision was made to keep him on as a farm rep due to his quiet, laid back nature. Welcome home, Titan! The horses you see included in these pages are those who are now considered rescues and permanent residents of Frog Pond Farm for one reason or another. Some of them are taken to public functions or used for farm visitations to educate the public on horse slaughter and what amazing animals are still going to slaughter. The operator of the Drafty Barn Rescue organization has tagged the phrase "Frog Pond" on her website, used a portion of our trademarked slogan for her organizational name, and has placed frog pictures all over her pages. Additionally, she seems to be overly concerned about the length, content and requirements of our adoption application and contracts. This is a small part of her efforts at causing issues for our organization. One very good reason this "rescue" should be watched is shown in living color from Channel 3-Cleveland News Footage. There is also a 2008 USDA/Ohio Dept of Agriculture citation against them for Non-burial of Livestock after they left a horse lying in a ditch for days unnoticed by anyone that resides at the farm -- only the children who ride the bus past the farm daily to school.
