Patty and Pet are a Belgian mare/gelding team. Both stand 16-16.1 hands and are large build. They were sold through Camelot as a team, so we are placing them as such. Both have seen the farrier and have a new coggins. They were done in stocks.
They are currently located in Michigan and will be placed from there.
This old girl is 24 years old and stands 15.3 hands and is a Perch. She is still rehabbing SLOWLY due to being a very picky eater. She has been driven, and they actually rode her through Camelot. I’m told she rides excellent but we haven’t due to her weight. She is a fairytale dream, and when she’s back to weight..oh boy! We are looking for a light riding retirement home for this girl. She’s earned it!
This sweet face belongs to an older Molly Mule we rescued from the Camelot auction in New Jersey. She arrived at our farm on Feb 3rd. She is said to ride and drive and shows signs of harness marks and old scaring on the corners of her mouth from a harsh bit. She is sweet to handle, willing, stalls well but flinches when you reach for her to pet her. Once you touch her, she relaxes. Unfortunately, she will need to learn people aren’t all bad but is willing to give you a chance. We are very excited at the potential in this gorgeous girl!
Adoption fee is $500
THANK YOU to my sponsor mom, Sharon Mayo: February, March, April and May. Sharon is also my July sponsor.
This cutie is a 7 year old Paint mare. She stands 13.3 1/2 hands tall, is a finer build, and she is incredibly marked. She was used for breeding and has signs of previously being a mother. She is easy to handle, nonagressive in the pasture, good with fencing, and stalls well. She rode through the ring at Camelot quietly, but we haven’t ridden her here yet. She is an easy horse to handle on the ground, except when it comes to her feet. She loves kids and would make a great leadline pony or excel with a novice/advanced riding kid who wants to do barrels or jumping. She is NOT for beginners! Sponsor needed.
7/23/10 Riding evaluation was done today. Aaleyha will be posted as “free to a training home,” as she is showing to be very green.
DISCLAIMER: We are in NO WAY, nor have we or will we EVER be affiliated with Drafty Barn Rescue located in Lore City, OH. The operator of the Drafty Barn Rescue organization has tagged the phrase "Frog Pond" on her website, used a portion of our trademarked slogan for her organizational name, and has placed frog pictures all over her pages. Additionally, she seems to be overly concerned about the length, content and requirements of our adoption application and contracts. This is a small part of her efforts at causing issues for our organization. One very good reason this "rescue" should be watched is shown in living color from Channel 3-Cleveland News Footage. The photo of the operator of the Drafty Barn rescue is shown on the still shot in the video. You will hear her own words and feelings on horse slaughter by watching the link.
There is also a 2008 USDA/Ohio Dept of Agriculture citation against them for Non-burial of Livestock after they left a horse lying in a ditch for days unnoticed by anyone that resides at the farm -- only the children who ride the bus past the farm daily to school. We received numerous phone calls from parents requesting assistance. Should you wish to see this document, please feel free to email us and it will be forwarded.
